HENRY JOHNSON BLVD
This historic home on Henry Johnson Boulevard had some suffered some significant damage from a gas explosion.

Windows in the home were broken during the explosion and had to be repaired to match the existing, while preserving as much of the intact frame as possible. Using Quarter-Sawn white oak stock, we are able to make new sashes that replicate the original.
Staircase balusters were also damaged; some could be salvaged and repaired, while others were replaced. In most historic homes, parts such as balusters were hand crafted when initially installed and are not commercially available today. In order to match the existing, new balusters need to be hand turned on a lathe; a process that takes a fair amount of both artful interpretation as well as precision measurement to make an acceptable replacement.
